Built in 1889, the
Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park has long been recognised as one of London's

The Foliage restaurant has unrivaled views over Royal parkland and with its
stunning contemporary design, it has proved to be very popular. Serving
modern European cuisine with fresh seasonal ingredients, you will also be
able to experience culinary delights from places such as the Far East,
Middle East, Modern British, Classic French, Italian, and yes even America
is represented!
The Park restaurant also boasts spectacular views of Hyde Park. This
elegantly casual restaurant offers mouth-watering international light dishes
such as pizzas and sandwiches at appealing prices. Open from breakfast
through to late evenings this restaurant provides the most perfect setting
for anytime of the day or night.
Modern, contemporary and cutting edge, The Mandarin Bar has become
Knightsbridge's newest fashionable meeting place. This lively Bar has a 2am
license with live jazz music played nightly, and it even has its own cigar
divan for cigar aficionados. The bar serves some light snacks alongside the
Mandarins own exotic cocktails.
The Spa at Mandarin Oriental offers the perfect retreat from the hectic pace
of city life and is the ultimate in urban escapism. Adopting a different
approach to the traditional spa experience, for the first time in London, it
offers a series of innovative and restorative treatments known as rituals
designed to de-stress, relax and revitalise.
Guests are encouraged to arrive 40 minutes before their actual treatment to
fully immerse themselves in an oasis of heat and water: a sanarium – a sauna
that offers a softer experience; the crystal steam room which blends heat
and water through a delicately lit amethyst; the vitality pool where you lie
in hot mineral water on a suspended cushion of air whilst being gently
massaged by hydrotherapy body jets.
Drawing on exotic therapies, treatments and philosophies from around the
world, a series of specially designed ‘rituals’ encompassing Chinese,
Ayurvedic, European, Balinese, Oriental and American Indian beliefs and
practices are offered. Sip refreshing tea whilst surrendering to a welcome
foot ritual whilst the therapist creates a tailor-made experience.
A state-of-the-art gymnasium caters for the exercise conscious, and with
Hyde Park on the doorstep, joggers have convenient access.
Each floor at the Mandarin Oriental also has its own individual manager who
checks guests in and out, plus books restaurants, cars and theatre tickets.
