This is a superbly deceptive 3-star hotel, ideal for all guests visiting the great city of London. The typical nineteenth century London facade masks a contemporary, up-to-date hotel, with every modern facility in its 30 large comfortable bedrooms. The Mad Hatter is perfectly placed for the leisure traveller being close to one of the oldest parts of London, the 'Borough', well known to Shakespeare and Dickens. There are a number of attractions nearby including the Tate Modern, London's new world-class museum of modern art, Shakespeare's Globe theatre, the National Theatre, the Royal Festival Hall and the Hayward Gallery and, of course, the London Eye which offers magnificent view of the city. Covent Garden and the Strand are only about a mile away and Oxford Street, Regent Street and Soho half a mile or so further on. The Fuller's Ale & Pie House on the ground floor of the Mad Hatter is a welcoming London pub, and an ideal place to meet and greet friends or colleagues for lunch, an informal evening meal, or just a drink. The Mad Hatter really is an excellent London base and at it's astonishingly reasonable prices. The nearest tube stations are Southwark and Waterloo.
